All the Internet research I’ve google-fied should only affirm my suspicions: that it’s not reliable and that shit costs money. BUT THERE IS NO SEXIER WAGON (because we don’t get the RS6 Avant in the states).
Pipe dreams in either case.

The whims of automotive desire are rarely grounded in rational thought.

What’s the easiest way to drive an Audi allroad?
Start with two allroads, and by the time everything goes flaky, you can still mash them together and have a frankenwagon.

I think I found the reason Volvos are so popular around here. Their like reliable Audi’s? Don’t crucify me please.

“...no sexier wagon.” Wrong.
Corolla is always the answer.

It’s like someone took a perfect Tercel wagon and left it in the microwave for 30 seconds too long.

In all seriousness, though, the allroad is one of the sexiest wagons. For my money, though, this 850R is a bit better looking, but I’m weird and like boxy things and think th Jeep XJ one of the best looking vehicles ever.

The 2 door XJ is a great looking vehicle!
I don’t know what it is about Volvos. Just not my thing. But I’m the guy who likes Tercels.

Or you can get IS300 Sportcross and never have to worry about anything.

Really? Not a Volvo? I have dreams of Volvo wagons (followed by dreams of Mercedes wagons). I need to keep working on the soon-to-be wife, because the kids should get the best start in life and being able to relate to the kids that grew up riding in European wagons would probably help them in the long term. The only reason I can imagine that she sees SUVs as aspirational is due to the poor rural region where she grew up. She’s just still too stuck in that mindset.

Audi c5 s6's are supposed to be more reliable.... Many have been swapped to 6mt. But... Mine has had a failed rear wiper line that leaked, killing the ccm module. A failed signal relay, foam coming from the vents signaling slow blend door death & a failed sai valve... In the last 5k! Lol
That wagon tho

My mom’s v70R begged to differ with its ever exploding drivetrain lol

No sexier wagon? Check and mate bitches!

Today they would call that a crossover (despite the fact it’s obviously a wagon)

It is just like the Allroad or an Outback wagon.

Subaru calls the Outback an SUV or Crossover or Crossover SUV in their materials though.

Allroad. 2.7L twin turbo V6 from the S4. Need I say more?

Yes. Ditch the Carter BBD feedback carb in favor of a MC 2100, then remove the computer and ignition system and replace it with Duraspark. Then, the 258 will run like it should and the whole thing well be unbelievable reliable. I bought one for $400, spent a few hundred doing the aforementioned things, then sold it for... $400... :/ it ran really well, though.
